Innisfree Orchid Enriched Line
I often hear a lot of really great things about the Innisfree Orchid Enriched line of products. My kin doesn’t always agree with heavy creams or lotions however so was a little apprehensive to try them out.
In the end I picked these products up as part of a New Years lucky bag promotion that Innisfree was running. The lucky bag was the same price of the Orchid Enriched Cream, so it was worth the money to get the extra products it came with.
Innisfree Orchid Enriched Cream
The Orchid Enriched cream is a medium consistency. Though it is still a rich cream it is much lighter than I initially thought it would be (you can also get the Orchid Intense cream if you’re wanting something even richer than this.) The fragrance is a very light and fresh orchid smell, I’m not a fan of floral smells but this is fine and not too overpowering.
The cream definitely did make my skin feel very soft and smooth when I used it. It may have been the silicone ingredient or some of the other rich ingredients but some of my pores did seem a little clogged after using this cream for a few days. Personally I’ll probably stick to using this just in the winter months when my skin needs more moisture. If moisture is what you need though this cream is a great all rounder!
Used in skincare orchid extract can help to reduce the look of fine-lines as well as acting as an antioxidant.
This ingredient is found in both the cream and the sleeping pack and is the ingredient that this line is famous for.
Camellia Leaf Extract
(or green tea extract) is another antioxidant ingredient. This helps protect the skin from free radicals. It can also help stimulate the skin and improve its overall tone.
This ingredient is a silicone. When applied to the skin it will form a film like texture. Some people like this feeling of product on the skin. Personally I wished they had use a natural ingredient (like shea butter) to provide hydration to the skin – rather than a silicone.
Innisfree Orchid Enriched Sleeping Pack
I have so many sleeping packs in my collection that I probably didn’t need another one but I’m happy to have given this one a try. I noticed a more immediate effect from this product verses the cream, perhaps due to the ingredients included to help brighten the skin.
It has the same subtle fragrance as the Orchid Enriched cream but is an entirely different consistency. The sleeping pack has almost a thick gel like consistency that makes it spread really nicely onto the skin. It’s very refreshing to use.
If you’ve never tried a sleeping pack before this is certainly a good one to start with and will probably get you wanting to try more sleeping packs that brands have to offer.
Lavender oil is soothing and balancing for the skin. It can help with inflamed skin and blemishes, assisting in keeping the skin clear.
Lime oil helps support healthy skin, it is good at clearing away excess oil but also helps to maintain a bright complexion.
Arbutin helps prevent the formulation of melanin in the skin and is used in skincare as a skin-lightener. This will help even skin tone and brighten up dark spots on the skin.
Both of these products are super moistursing though some of the ingredients (such as silicone) may not feel comfortable for some. They are both a rich consistency with a subtle orchid smell that is not overpowering. I prefer the sleeping pack out of these two products but they would both be great for people who have skin in need of a moisture boost.
